Vraj Desai began his journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Charotar University of Science and Technology in India, where he developed a strong foundation in construction and project planning. Early in his career, he worked as a Junior Estimator at Jay Krishna Construction, contributing to cost estimation and quantity take-offs for large-scale projects, including a $180M high-rise development. After moving to Canada, Vraj continued building his expertise by pursuing Construction Management at SAIT and Project Management at the University of Calgary, while gaining Canadian work exposure and experience in project coordination. Like many international graduates, transitioning into a specialized role in the Canadian construction industry required persistence and the right strategy.

Vraj joined Infilysis on October 7, 2025, determined to secure a role aligned with his construction and estimating background. Over the following months, he focused on positioning his technical skills, education, and international experience effectively for the Canadian market. His hard work paid off when he received an offer as a Windows & Doors Estimator at A-Apollo Windows & Doors Ltd on February 9, 2026. In just over 100 days, Vraj successfully transitioned into a role closely connected to his field — a position that also opens strong pathways for long-term career growth in Canada’s construction industry. His journey shows that with the right guidance and persistence, international graduates can turn their technical education into meaningful opportunities in Canada.
